The 18-hole "Ballamor" course at the Ballamor Golf Club facility in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey features 7,200 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.5 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Bent grass.
Situated on 575 Acres of gently rolling New Jersey Pine Forest, gently rolling terrain, the Ballamor Golf Club has a goal of becoming the standard by which all other area clubs will be judged. The site is broken into quadrants by English Creek and other wetland tributaries. This creates a serene environment in which to enjoy the game as no one quadrant becomes overcrowded with players. The course is planted with bent grass tees, greens, and fairways with a blend of bluegrass and fescue roughs. A combination of ponds, approx. 80 bunkers, bail out areas and tree lined fairways create a great variety of shot values and strategic challenges.
Outstanding features of Ballamor begin at the beautiful entrance that has been designed to preserve and enhance the sites natural beauty. The long tree lined driveway will lead you to the spectacular castle like stone clubhouse that has Old World charm.
Carefully designed out of gently rolling land and dense woods, Ballamor promises to be the area’s premier golf club. Nationally renowned architect, Brian Ault and partner Dan Schlegel, of Ault, Clark and Associates utilized the natural rolling terrain and distinct beauty of the property when designing this 18-hole par 72 golf course.
The design of the golf course is intended to create a feeling of a more traditional layout or atmosphere. Elements of older, classic designs, coupled with unique strategic arrangements and current construction practices will provide the course with a sense of maturity, even in its infancy. Each hole will possess its own individual character. Collectively, they will present a strong composition which tests every type of golf shot.
From the back tees the course will stretch well over 7,000 yards and 5,300 yards from the forward tees. A solid five-tee system will be employed ensuring that golf is playable and enjoyable for all levels of golfers.
